Walkathon Sponsorships :

All items required for setting up of snack stations and the awards and felicitations for the Walkathon are donated by local merchants. Thus, no administrative expenses are incurred at this event dedicated to helping the children’s cause.

HELP welcomes corporate sponsorships to support this genuine cause. Corporate involvement lends better exposure to the event. With larger participation of serious walkathon enthusiasts, the event is able to gather better funds for the cause of destitute children.

Why are HELP Walkathons conducted ?

HELP holds Walkathons as a “A Fun-filled Fund Raising Event”.

Why are HELP Walkathons conducted?

With a goal of building up a fund of 1.25 million US dollars, HELP currently supports 125 orphaned and destitute children at five different locations in India. The Annual Walkathons contribute considerably towards this mission of HELP. Currently, the event typically raises between $30,000 and $40,000 each year.

Besides being a major fund raiser, the Walkathon appends the capital if possible for the build-up of the PNC Trust, so that once the goal of $1.25 million is reached, more children can be sponsored without fear of loss of capital. More money will allow HELP to expand their horizon of help to the “other” needy children.

Increasing participation in the HELP Walkathon provides existing volunteers an opportunity to motivate and increase community awareness about HELP and its cause. The novel concept of zero-dollar administrative reserves motivates more walkers and audience to volunteer their own bit to the cause. Most observers volunteer to spread the noble message among the walkers’ friends, family and colleagues, thus advancing the cause to a different level, every year.

Participation in the walkathon will not only enable You to reach and touch lives of 125 little children, it will confer infinite health and fitness benefits upon You.

How YOU could contribute to HELP

CHILD SPONSORSHIP : Give an orphaned child the comforting shield of your care. Sponsor a child!

UNITED WAY : You may also donate through payroll deductions by contributing through United Way. The mechanics for sign up process varies from company to company, and the start date and the duration of the United Way campaign also varies from company to company.

WALKATHON : You may also consider donating through our Annual Walk-A-Thon every September.

GIFT CERTIFICATES : Buy Super Market Gift Certificates from the Foundation and use them like cash. Super Market donates 5% of your purchase to the Foundation. You do not incur any money from your pocket. For details contact: Shantha Madhavan at 908-753-9391.

VOLUNTEER WITH US : You can donate your time for Foundation activities to maintain the database, arrange the walk-a-thon, help with the Gift Certificate program, maintain the website, and participate in telephone campaign for fund raising.
